Heterosphaeridium cordiforme Yun, 1981

Holotype: Yun, 1981, pl.3, fig.15; Fensome et al., 1991, fig.4 - p.629
Paratype: Yun, 1981, pl.3, fig.7
Locus typicus: Timmermann brickyard near Esbeck, Germany

Translation Yun, 1981: Fensome, 1991, p. 630

Original diagnosis: Yun, 1981, p. 47
Proximate cyst with ovoid-spherical central body which is weakly keeled antapically. The spines are usually simple, distally widened or pointed. The spines are seldom interconnected. A prominent, relatively large spine occurs on the antapical pole. The apical archeopyle has a straight margin.

Original description: Yun,1981, p. 47
The cyst consists of an endophragm and a perforated periphragm which gives rise to solid, flattened spines. The spines vary in length and occasionally may be forked into two branches. Occasionally two or three adjacent spines are connected distally. The distal widenings are truncate and smooth.
