Horologinella corrugata
Horologinella? corrugata De Coninck, 1986
De Coninck, 1986, questionably included this species in Horologinella.
Holotype: de Coninck, 1986b, pl.2, figs.11–12; Pestchevitskaya, 2001, pl.2, fig.11; Pestchevitskaya, 2003, pl.2, fig.18.
Locus typicus: Woensdrecht borehole, S Netherland
Stratum typicum: Middle Eocene-Early Oligocene (Bartonian-Tongrian)
Original diagnosis: De Coninck, 1986, p.13
The small capsule, almost as wide as long, is equatorially constricted. Its wall is generally slightly wrinkled. Above and under the equatorial constriction the capsule may widen gradually towards the polar extremities or on the contrary may attain its maximal width almost immediately above the constriction. The edge of the polar surfaces is often irregularly notched. No tabulation has been observed. In some specimens an opening can be seen in one of the polar surfaces; I cannot however see if it has the structure of an archeopyle .
Length: Holotype: 18 Ám. Other specimens: between 13 and 18 Ám. Width at the extremities: Holotype: 14 Ám. Other specimens: between 12 and 15 Ám. Width at the equatorial constriction: Holotype: 6 Ám. Others: from 8 to 5 Ám.
