Hystrichokolpoma fenestratum

Hystrichokolpoma? fenestratum Jan du Chêne and Adediran, 1985

Jan du Chêne and Adediran, 1985, questionably included this species in Hystrichokolpoma.
Holotype: Jan du Chêne and Adediran, 1985, pl.16, fig.9-10
Locus typicus: Benin-Ore Highway , Km 41, Nigeria
Stratum typicum: Late Palaeocene-Early Eocene

Original diagnosis: Jan du Chêne and Adediran, 1985,p. 18
Cyst skolochorate, provisionally attributed to Hystrichokolpoma, with an ellipsoidal body and intratabular to penitabular processes. The larger processes are subdivided distally by short tubules and are fenestrate along their length.

Original description: Jan du Chêne and Adediran, 1985, p. 18
Cyst skolochorate with an ellipsoidal body and intratabular to penitabular processes. The periphragm is appressed to the endophragm between the processes. The large intratabular to penitabular and tubiform processes are restricted to the apical, precingular, postcingular and antapical series. These processes are fenestrate, slightly striate and their distal ends are subdivided by short tubules. The cingular and sulcal processes are thinner, buccinate, simple or deeply subdivided. On cingular and sulcal areas, there are often more than one process per paraplates. The presence of a single preapical process is recorded on the holotype operculum. Reflected tabulation: pr, 4", 6", 5c?, 6""", 1p, 1"""", 5s; archeopyle apical, type [tA].
Dimensions: Range cyst body 48-42 to 40-34 µm; length of the processes 16-22 µm. Number of specimens measured 4.

Affinities:
Jan du Chêne and Adediran, 1985, p. 18: H. (?) fenestratum differs from the previously described species of Hystrichokolpoma by the presence of fenestrations along the length of the processes.
