Levisphaera crassicingulata (Burger, 1980) Davey, 1988

Originally Canningia, subsequently Batiacasphaera, thirdly (and now) Levisphaera.

Original description: Burger, 1980, p.268: Canningia crassicingulata
Rounded egg-shaped, without horns. Autophragm rigid, psilate, 1.5-2 µm thick, slightly thicker (up to 4 µm) in a broad cingular belt. Archaeopyle apical with a zigzag margin, outlining the presenca of 6 precingular paraplates; parasulcal notch usually present. Operculum not observed. No other traces of paratabulation visible. Apical diameter (5 dehisced specimens) 52-78 µm, width 50-69 µm.
