Tax. jr. synonym of Hystrichosphaeridium (now Kiokansium) unituberculatum Tasch, 1964, according to Stover and Evitt, 1978.

Subelliptical shell with numerous, fine, elongate processes forming Y-shaped bifurcations, or curving into hooks at the extremities; density of processes greater on sides than ends. No processes were observed that proceed from middle of central body of capsule, but several were seen to originate from wall of capsule.
Dimensions: Holotype: Length 56 µm; width 38 µm; length of processes 8-18 µm; thickness of processes 1-2 µm; density of processes 1 per 5 µm of edge.
