Hystrichosphaeridium triradicosum

Hystrichosphaeridium triradicosum Tasch, 1964

Tax. jr. synonym of Hystrichosphaeridium (now Kiokansium) unituberculatum Tasch, 1964, according to Stover and Evitt, 1978
Holotype: Tasch, 1964, pl.2, figs.4,14
Age: Albian

Original (Tasch, 1964):
Diagnosis: Ovate capsule with sparse, long, thin, processes having flared terminations; processes each connected to the body by three divergent finer filaments which appear to be constructed of bread-like segments.
Measurements: Length, 48 µm; width, 38 µm; length of processes, 10-13 µm; thickness of processes, 1-2 µm; density of processes, 1 per 5 µm of edge.
Discussion: The new species is distinguishes by the mode of attachment of processes to the capsule body, and by the sparse distribution of processes.
Holotype: WU-DF 0139. Slide no. 1041. Coordinates: R 4705, D 13.5
Locality: Sampling interval 4-I-M.
