Membranosphaera maastrichtica Samoilovitch in Samoilovitch and Mtchedlishvili, 1961, p.252, pl.83, figs.1a–d,2a–d,3,4a–d. Holotype: Samoilovitch and Mtchedlishvili, 1961, pl.83, figs.1a–d. Samoilovitch and Mtchedlishvili (1961) expressly cited this taxon as a species; it was therefore not a new combination in Lentin and Williams (1973, p.94). See also Elytrocysta druggii. Age: Santonian–Late Eocene.
