Mendicodinium reticulatum Morgenroth, 1970. Diagnosis from Morgenroth (1970, p.348-349).Test biconical, nearly as broad as long. Epitract and hypotract of similar size. Apex and antapex rounded. Sides of epitract and hypotract straight to rounded convex. Surface of test coarsely reticulate, sometimes some hollow verrucae observed. Reflected tabulation absent. Cingulum vaguely indicated by a slightly intruding zone on the equatorial region. Cingulum seems to be slightly laevorotatory. It is ventrally interrupted by a sulcus, which is indicated mainly by a clear area on the hypotract. Archeopyle is formed by rupture directly above the indicated cingulum on the hypotract. Archeopyle type epitractal. Size: holotype, length 46 µm, width 48 µm.
