Mirificysta lineata
Mirificysta lineata Yu Jingxian, 1982
Holotype: Yu Jingxian, 1982, pl.1, fig.20
Age: Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous
Description: Proximate cysts, having appearance of irregularly shaped bottle gourd or podocarpus cone. Wall single-layered. Surface irregularly reticulate through linkage of fine sutural ridges. Apical horn irregularly circular or "head-shaped", bearing sparsely occurring and longitudinally extended sutural ridges and frequently splitting. Cyst wall projects outwardly at girdle to form a small lateral horn, perhaps equivalent to paracingular position. Paratabulation and archeopyle do not show.
Size: Cysts 121.9 - 170 Ám long and 71.3 - 87.7 Ám wide.
Comparison: This new species is distinguished from all other species with proximate cysts by its unusual shapes.
