The name Cleistosphaeridium multifurcillatum was not validly published in Prössl (1990) since that author did not specify the lodgement of the holotype.
Holotype: Prössl, 1990, pl.9, figs.8,11; Fauconnier and Masure, 2004, pl.49, figs.9-10.
Age: Early Hauterivian-Late Barremian.
