Emended diagnosis: Monteil 1991b, p. 475
Cysts proximate, compressed dorsoventrally, two-layered, circumcavate. Pericyst ceratioid, asymmetrical, with 5 prominent horns: 1 apical (axial, type AP l); 2 subequal lateral (axial, type L 1), indented; 2 inequal antapical (joined, type ATP ll). Left antapical horn longer (up to one and one-half times) than the right one. Horns normal with distal extremities closed and rounded, or open and perforated-scalloped (Pl. 2, fig. 11; Pl. 11, fig. 2); proximal extremities wide. Endocyst oval. Periphragm thin, psilate, perforated in the distal half of the horns; perforations not organized. Endophragm thin, psilate to granulate. Archeopyle apical, type (4A) with angular margin. Parasulcal notch marked. Operculum free. Paratabulation indicated only by archeopyle, by pericingulum and by perisulcus. Formula: ?pr, 4", Oa, 6", s. Pericingulum marked by indentation of lateral horns and by parallel transverse folds. Perisulcus marked by parasulcal notch offset. Right margin of parasulcal area underlined by an oblique fold of periphragm on the left side of the cyst (Pl. 2, fig. 11; Pl. 7, fig.2).

Dimensions of the holotype (with operculum): 144 Ám (overall L; I not measurable)

Comparisons: Muderongia perforata emend. differs from M tabulata comb. nov. & emend. in possessing a peri-
phragm perforated in the distal half of horns.
