Xenascus ceratoides ssp. procerus
Xenascus ceratioides subsp. procerus Yun Hyesu, 1981, p.61, pl.14, figs.5,8–9.
Holotype: Yun Hyesu, 1981, pl.14, fig.9; Fensome et al., 1991, fig.2 — p.601; fig.3 — p.717.
Age: early Santonian.
Original description (Yun Hyesu)
Material: 12 Specimens
Dimensions:
Size ZK = 68-72 x 72-80, length AH = 180-186, width AH = 20-24, length AAH = 114-120, width AAH = 36-42, length LH = 78-84, width LH = 78-84, width LH = ca. 17, amount of Stacheln = ca. 12, max. length Satcheln = 24-42.
Holotyp: Taf. 14, Fig. 9.
size ZK = 70x80, max. width and length AH = 24 x 186, max. width and length AAH = 42 x 114, max. width and length LH = 10 x 78, amount Stacheln = ca. 12, length Stacheln = bis zu 42.
Paratyp Taf. 14, Fig. 8.
Description: The cyst grows thing and long AH, LH and a thin but short AAH. The AH is basal surrounded by 4 distal open Stacheln, which form a square. The LH carries two open Stachel at its outer rim, of which the one located on the base is larger. Die other Stacheln are thin, massive or hollow and usually distal bifurcated.
Comparison: This species differs from X. ceratioides ceratioides in having a large and thin AH, which is longer than double of the diameter of ZK, and in a longer and thinner AAH and LH.
As of yet proven: untersten Santon, Canada.
