Cyst proximate/chorocavate. Outline polygonal, "gonyaulacoid". Wall composed of pedium and luxuria. Pedium solid. Luxuria intraareat psilate, verrucate, corrugate to coarsely reticulate. In the region of limbi and finis developed as tectum. Tectum supported by ridges of unequal length, which may be grouped to ornaments as mentioned above. In optical cross-section these structures become visible as "columellae". The tectate percoel is in the region of finis and apical horn strongly developed. Apical horn slightly displaced to the ventral side. Areation: ?PR, 4", 5"", Xc, 6""", 1p, 1"""", NRs. Archaeopyle: ?apical + precingular, X"+2""+3"", or precingular only, 2""+3"". Operculum solvate, secate.

Affinities:
Prauss, 1989, p.30: S. limbicavatus differs from S. weberi in being tabulate and possessing an apical horn. The tectate wall of S. priscus is less obvious.
