From Fensome et al., 2019:
Cladopyxidium globosum Marheinecke, 1992, p.104–105, pl.22, figs.1–2. Holotype: Marheinecke, 1992, pl.22, figs.1–2. Contrary to the opinion of Lentin and Williams (1993, p.107), Williams et al. (1998, p.118) considered this name to be validly published. Age: late Maastrichtian.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original description: [Marheinecke, 1992, p. 81] (Translation: LPP):
Description:
Cyst small, acavate, proximochorate, sphaeroidal. Wall composed of pedium and luxuria developing a distal tegillum. Tegillum smooth, perforated by peniareate pores. The tegillum forms finate, smooth septae not reaching more than 1/8 of the cyst-diameter.
Aeration formula: 4', 4a, 7", 7c, 6'", 2"", as, FM, ls, ps.
Archaeopyle apical, PR+2'+3'. Operculum secate, federate, (PR+2'+3').
Affinities:
C. glogolosum differs from C. saeptum in the cyst habit, the shape of 1" and the archaeopyle.
