Original diagnosis: Courtinat, 1989, p.188-189
Subspherical to ovoidal apteate cyst, with an autophragm only. The gonyaulacacean type paratabulation is indicated by penitabular and intratabular processes. The ornaments are are distally interconnected and form an irregular cover. The paracingulum is indicated by 6 rectangular process groups; the parasulcus lacks processes except for the anterior part of paraplate ai. The paratabulation formula follwing the Kofoid notation: 1pr, 4", 6"", 0a, 6c, 6""", 1p, 1pv, 1"""", xs; following the Taylor-Evitt notation: A-C, 1u, 2-6, 1i, ai-fi, Iu-VI, X-Z. The archaeopyle is apical, accessory sutures are not developed. the operculum is free, multiplated.
Dimensions: cyst width 44-65 Ám, process length 1.5 Ám.

Affinities:
Courtinat, 1989, p.189: L. emitecta differs from L. sportula and L. bulgarica in
its much smaller processes and its imperfect reticulum which imitates a pollen grain tectum.
