Adnatosphaeridium aemulum ssp. integrum
From Williams, Lentin and Fensome 1998 - Lentin and Williams Index of Fossil Dinoflagellates:
[Adnatosphaeridium aemulum ssp. integrum, (Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, p. 47, pl.7, figs.6-7), Eisenack and Kjellström, 1972, p. 45.
Holotype: Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, pl.7, fig.6; Fensome et al., 1995, fig.1 - p.1565. ]
Locus typicus: Carnarvon Basin, W Australia
Stratum typicum: Early Callovian
Age: Late Jurassic
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original description as Cannosphaeropsis aemulum ssp. integrum: [Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, p. 47]:
Diagnosis:
Shell sphaeroidal with a number of hollow, funnel-like processes the wall of which are, for the most part, entire or only slightly perforated. The "funnels" are connected by short delicate threads.
Dimensions:
Overall diameter 95-128 µm, processes 24-38 µm.
Affinities:
The subspecies integrum is readily distinguishable from the typical examples of C. aemula by the rather shorter, broader and more entire processes.
