Original description: [Hen Chengquan, 1991]: (translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019):

Description:
Cyst is small, flat, outline oval to nearly sphaerical, apical antapical horns and cingulum are not present;
Wall thickness about 1 μm, two layers; Endophragm dense; Periphram extremely thin, with a large number of tiny processes on the surface, 1 μm long or so, processes base thick, sharp distally, evenly distribute, spacing 2 μm; The surface of the cyst appears to be granulate - short wrinkle because of short processes. Wall with or without wrinkles.
Archeopyle apical (tA), archeopyle suture angular. The operculum is completely separated, usually attached to the cyst or in situ.

Dimensions:
Cyst length 34-45μm, width 30-38μm (measured 3); the typical specimen length 45μm, width 38μm.

Discussion:
This new species is distinguished from B. baculata by a densely granulate-spine surface rather than a very sparsely short clavate-tuberculate surface. Another thing to note is that the ornamentation of the new species surface also contains granulate-clavate besides granulate-spine. The present description is based on the photographic specimens of the Ullagen fm, whereas the specimens seen in the lower part of the Zimgen fm show only slight changes in surface textures (mainly granulates and short wrinkles, a small amount of granular-clavate processes). Other characteristics are basically the same.
