Original description: [Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990, p. 82]

Description:
Cyst shape elongate oval with one long apical and two short antapical horns autophragma ornamented with dense, coarse granules which are randomly distributed over the entire surface of the autophragm; paratabulation indicated by the archeopyle margin only;
archeopyle apical, Type A or possibly Type AI;
paracingulum very faintly discernible, dividing the cyst into two unequal parts, the epicyst being longer than the hypocyst;
parasulcus not indicated.

Dimensions/Size:
Holotype, length 88 µm, width 39 µm.

Affinities: (p.83):
Batioladinium daviesii most closely resembles B. micropodum which has a shorter apical horn, less distinct antapical horns, much finer granulations ant is without any indication of a paracingulum. There is really little similarity between the species Batioladinium daviesii and Imbatodinium kondratjevii. The former has random distribution of ornament and a barely discernible paracingulum while the latter has large pustules on the hypocyst which grade into minute granules near the apex as well as a very distinct paracingulum.
