Cassiculosphaeridia pontiformis
Cassiculosphaeridia pontiformis, He Chengquan, 1991
Holotype: He Chengquan, 1991, pl.8, fig.4
Age: Middle- Late Eocene
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original description: [He Chengquan, 1991]: (translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019):
Description:
Cyst oval to nearly circular, usually length smaller than width.
No apical and antapical horns, lack of any paratabulation, cingulum or sulcus signs.
Cyst thickness about 1.5 μm, the surface of the sparsely distributed ridges and particles, the entire surface appears to be rougher. The ridges are medium-thick and smooth, with a bridge or semicircle on the contour, usually 10__: _20 at the edge of the cyst, and the length and orientation of the ridges are not regular enough, usually 10-12.5 μm, m 2 -3μ..m, which form incomplete simple mesh pattern on the wall surface. The structure of bridge ridges is not yet clear, and it is not certain whether there is a membrane. If such ridges are damaged, some short conical protrusions or small cones may be left on the specimen.
Ancient top type, (tA) Plastic, larger, made by the movement of the top area, the diameter of the cyst diameter of about 2 / 3-10 / 11, the archeopyle edge micro-angular or nearly circular. The flap is completely separated and stored or shed in situ.
Dimensions:
The total length of the cyst (including the bridge ridge) 72. 5-87 μm, a 67. plus m, the cyst length 75-78 μm, broad-65_, μm The total length of 82μm, width 67. 5μm, the cyst length of 78 yang 1, width 65μm.This new species to the surface with a bridge ridge and Cassiculosphaeridia magna phase difference. Rak z Wulagen group and Basebulak group two and three.
