Original description: [He Chengquan, 1991]: (translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019):

Description:
Body dorsal-ventral flattened, contour nearly circular.
Two wall layers are close to each other, the surface has dense particles-short wrinkles.
There are degenerated processes, intratabular; Apical process appears to be always large, cylindrical, hollow, with fibrous structures, thinner distally, end fractured, about 4 μm long, base about 7 μm wide. The antapical process is small, papillary, weak, closed at the end, about 2 μm long, 6 μm wide; Other processes (including on the cingulum) were all in the remnant state, a bit like the hole on the pollen of Liquidambar genus. Cingulum is slightly concave on both sides of the body.
Archaeopyle outline trapezoid -round square, precingular, P-type, formed by the movement of the third precingular plate.

Dimensions:
The total length is 75-77.5 µm, width 61-75 μm (measured 2);
Holotype total length 75 μm, width 75 μm.

Comparison:
This species is distinguished from Cordosphaeridium (Tarimocystium) brevitubulosum by its degenerated remnants state processes.
