Original description: [He Chengquan, 1991]: (translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019):

Description:
The body is nearly circular, wall thickness 3.5-4.5 μm, two layers, a smooth inner layer, the outer layer thin and fibrous reticular.
There are many long processes, formed by the outer wall, flat tubular, weak reticular wall, the base and the distal end expanded, distally open, there are small spines on the edge of the ends. The number of small spines is variable, generally 6-8, 5-7.5 μm long; projection length and width changes larger, the larger 25-35 μm, the central 3-6 μm wide, smaller ones 12-20 μm long, the central 1.5-2.5 μm wide; Processes are brittle, most are broken, but at least 20 are visible; Processes intratabular, each represents a piece of the plate.
The archeopyle precingular, indicated main archeopyle crack surrounding the third precingular plate. Operculum preserved in situ, with a process on it.

Dimensions:
Body length 73-82.5 μm, width 74-75 μm (measured 2); the main body of the holotype 82.5 μm long, 74 μm wide, the process up to 35 μm.

Affinities:
This new species is characterized by distinctly fibrous reticular outer wall surface and pointed distal end, which is different from the known species in the genus. The structure of the process is similar to some species in Oligosphaeridium and Hystrichosphaeridium but distinguished by fibrous outer walls and precingular archeopyle.
