Cordosphaeridium moniliforme He Chengquan, 1991

Holotype: He Chengquan, 1991, pl.24, fig.10
Age: Paleocene

Description from He Chengquan, 1991, translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019
Description: The body nearly circular-oval. Wall thickness about 1.5 μm, two layers thickness nearly equal, inner layer dense and smooth, the outer surface granular, part of the particles are connected to short wrinkles. There are more than 20 intratabular processes, formed by the outer wall, most with nearly parallel fibrous structure, there are particles on each fibe, often shaped like beads; They can be classified into two categories based on the width of the processes: One is wide flat tubular or trumpet-shaped, 20-30μm long, the central 5-10μm wide, generally expanding towards (or in the) distal end, the shape of the end edge varies: complete or split, sash or broom-shaped, and one process is wide, with a central width of 15-20μm, which may be equivalent to the antapical process. The other type is thin strip, tubular or long trumpet shaped, hollow or solid, 25-32μm long, the central width of 1.5-3μm, distally enlarged, the terminals simple or serrated. Archeopyle precingular, P-type. Operculum fell off. The body diameter is 65-70μm (measured 4); the diameter of the holotype is 68μm. Comparison: This species differs from Cordosphaeridium (C.) exilimurum in the significant size difference between the process size and its surface with a beaded fibrous structure.
Location and stratigraphy: Wuqia County Basebulak; Qimugen fm lower member.
