Deflandrea communis He Chengquan, 1991

Holotype: He Chengquan, 1991, pl.29, fig.18
Age: Late Eocene

Description from He Chengquan, 1991, translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019
Description: The cyst is dorsal-ventral flattened, contoured pentagon. Upper cyst is large, conical, slightly convex side, with a distinct apical horn, conical, long 5μm, blunt top or truncated; hypocyst is small, inverted trapezoid, the sides straight, concave at the bottom, with two small antapical horn close to each other, tapered, 7.5-10μm long, the end is sharp. The cingulum deviates to the lower cyst, clearly concave, ring-shaped, 5-8μm wide and its edges are marked by smooth ridges, ridges are high and thick. The sulcus is obvious, trapezoidal, limited to the lower cyst. The outer wall surface (including horns) is nearly smooth. The inner contour of the body is nearly circular, thin wall, the surface is weakly granular, the edge of the upper cyst, sulcus and cingulum has regular layered structure; Except for the horns, The inner body and the outer wall are completely affixed with each other. The archeopyle of the holotype is obscure, but in the unphotoed specimens the archeopyle is clearly intercalary, width larger than length. The operculum is preserved in situ or falls off. Cyst length 54-62μm, width 42-50μm (measured 3); the holotype length 62μm, width 50μm, apical horn length 5μm, antapical horn length 7.5μm. The width of the cingulum is 8μm
Comparison: This type differs from that of the deflandrea kashiensis with a clear concave cingulum,
Location and stratigraphy: Wuqia County Basebulak; Basebulak fm member 2, 3.
