Deflandrea subtilis He Chengquan, 1991

Holotype: He Chengquan, 1991, pl.29, fig.16
Age: Late Eocene

Description from He Chengquan, 1991, translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019
Description The cyst is dorsal-ventral flattened, outline is elongated pentagon. Upper cyst slightly larger than the lower cyst, acute triangle, extending at the top of a shorter apical horn, conical, length 10-14μm, blunt top. Hypocyst trapezoidal, with two proximal equal antapical horns, conical, length 7 .5-15μm, distally sharp or slightly blunt. The cingulum slightly deviated to the lower cyst, obvious, shallowt flat, annular, width 5-7.5μm, the edge is marked by the fine ridges. The sulcus can be seen, limited to the lower cyst. The cyst wall is weak and consists of two layers. The outer wall surface is fine granular or nearly smooth. The inner body is round or oval with a smooth surface. Except for the hornsand / or the lower cyst, it contacts the outer wall. Archeopyle intercalary, the outline is clear, horizontal and wide oval, width greater than the length. The operculu is completely separated and preserved in situ. Cyst length 57.5-70μm, width 42 - 45μm, inner body length 40-45μm, width 37. 5-42μm (measured 3), the holotype length 70μm 45μm, inner body length 43μm, width 4μm, apical horn length 14μm, antapical horn length 15μm, cingulum width 6.5 μm
Comparison:This species is morphologically similar to Deflandrea phosphoritica , but the former individual is small, inner and outer walls are very thin and in contact with each other on the side.
Location and stratigraphy: Wuqia County Basebulak; Basebulak fm member two and three.
