Dissiliodinium acmeum
Dissiliodinium acmeum (Arhus, 1992) Lentin and Williams, 1993
Originally Gongylodinium, subsequently (and now) Dissiliodinium.
Holotype: Arhus, 1992, fig.4I
Locus typicus: Janusfjellet, Spitsbergen
Stratum typicum: Valanginian
Original description: Arhus, 1992, p. 312: Gongylodinium acmeum
Subspherical cysts without parasutures. Diameter 55-70 Ám. Autophragm with dense cover of granulae, baculae and capilli less than 3 Ám long. Archeopyle is rarely observed, type 2P or 3P. The archeopyle margin is long and straight along paracingulum, which is not indicated by the sculpture. Interpretation of precingular paraplates forming the archeopyle is difficult, but probably 2", 3" and 4" are involved.
