Eurydinium obliquum He Chengquan, 1991

Holotype: He Chengquan, 1991, pl.29, fig.25
Age: Turonian

Description from He Chengquan, 1991, translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019
Description: The outline is elongated pentagonal or nearly wedge-shaped, and divided into two parts that are slightly unequal by the cingulum. The epicyst is slightly larger, elongated isosceles triangle, side straight, an apical horn extending at the top, conical, the top blunt or the truncated; there is no distinction between the apical horn base and body (transitional), from Inner body side the top apical horn length is 12-15μm. The hypocyst is crooked trapezoid, side slightly concave, bottom oblique, forming 2 unequal antapical horns, one is an acute angle, and the other is an obtuse angle. Cingulum is located in the widest position, ring, width 5μm. The sulcus is unknown. Thin outer wall, smooth surface and with some longitudinal streaks. The inner body is long oval, thin wall, smooth surface; Except for the apical and antapical horns, it is usually attached to the outer wall, and occasionally separate from each other with narrow outer cavity. Occasionally the archeopyle can be seen, intercalary, narrow trapezoidal outline, lenth larger than width.
Cyst length 60-72.5μm, width 32-42μm, field, the inner body length 35-50μ.m, width 32-42μm (measured 4); the holotype length 72.5μm, width 42 μm, inner bdy length 50μm, width 42μm, apical horn length 12μm, cingulum width 5μm.
Comparison: this new species is a bit similar to Deflandrea psilata (Yu Jingxian et al 1980, 108 pages, 2, Figures 19, 20), but the former differs from the latter in that the upper cyst is elongated, and the bottom is oblique, etc. The current new species is different from several known species of Eurydinium in elongated cyst. within the Wucha County Basebulak and Urukkatti F Cookby group the upper member.
