Glaphyrocysta pectinata

Glaphyrocysta pectinata He Chengquan, 1991

He Chengquan, 1991, questionably included this species in Glaphyrocysta.
Holotype: He Chengquan, 1991, pl.14, fig.8
Age: Early Eocene

Description from He Chengquan, 1991, translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019
Description: Body outline ellipse. Wall thin, the surface is covered by a large number of processes; Processes linear, comb or fence like around the body, its length can vary on different specimens. Intratabular process combination exists, nearly cylindrical, cross-member nearly circular or ellipse, diameter of about 25μm, the ends of the processes connected to each other with trabeculae; Trabeculae linear, consistent with the thickness of the process, the surface is smooth; It is not always clear if there is a separate process within a process combination, and the separation between the combinations is often not clear. Approximately 2-3 process combinations can be resolved around the body of the holotype. Archeopyle unknown.
The total length 75-100μm, width 60-75μm, body length 62-73μm, width 43-54μm, process length 8-20μm (measured 3); The total length of the holotype 75μm, width 62μm, body length 62μm, width 50μm, process length about 10μm.
Discussion: This new species differs from other known species in this genus in the fence like process combination (cluster). As there are processes in the middle of dorsal and ventral side (lack of no-process area) and the unkown archeopyle, it is doubtfully classified to this genus.
Location and stratigraphy: Wuqia County Basebulak; Qimugen fm, upper member.
