Gonyaulacysta cassidata (Eisenack and Cookson, 1960) Cookson and Eisenack, 1962
Originally Gonyaulax helicoidea ssp. cassidata, subsequently Gonyaulax cassidata, thirdly (and now) Gonyaulacysta cassidata.
Cookson and Eisenack, 1962, raised this taxon to the species rank.

Locus typicus: Oodnadatta Bore, S Australia

Dimensions: Type 83 Ám long, 52 Ám broad. Range 71-95 Ám long, 47- 57 Ám broad.
