Originally Kallosphaeridium inornatum Prauss, 1989 (name illegitimate), subsequently (and now) Kallosphaeridium praussii.
Substitute name for Kallosphaeridium inornatum Prauss, 1989, p.41-42, pl.5, figs.4-6; pl.6, fig.18; text-fig.17 (an illegitimate name).

Areation and archaeopyle as for the genus. Wall psilate, operculum usually ventral adnate.
Dimensions: (without operculum, range) length 61.3 Ám, breadth 68.3 Ám.

Affinities:
Prauss, 1989, p.41: The very thin walled species differs from all previous discribed Kallosphaeridium species in the psilate cyst surface. Dissiliodinium psilatum has a straight archaeopyle margin.
