Laciniadinium elongatum
Laciniadinium elongatum He Chengquan, 1991, p.62-63, pl.4, figs.24-25.
Holotype: He Chengquan, 1991, pl.4, fig.25
Age: Paleocene-Eocene
Description by He Chengquan, 1991, translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019
Description: the cyst as an elongated, asymmetrical, double-tapered shape with the widest at the cingulum position. Upper cyst bigger, conical, edge straight,, one of the short apical horn, top blunt, about 5μm long, the base is not connected to the inner cyst; The antapex is conical or high-semicircle, lack of antapical horn. Cingulum partial to the lower cyst, ring, width 7.5-10μm, the edge of the two low ridges is a symbol; Sulcus vague or lacking. Cyst wall thin, granular or granular-short wrinkle, usually with a few longitudinal groove, and sometimes with spike at the edge of the tail. Archeopyle exists, but not significant, located between the cingulum and the top area, large, trapezoidal, combined type(?). Operculim fell off or in situ preserved. A yellow-green core affixed to the abdominal wall. The cyst length 62-82μm, width 40-57. 5μm (measured 2); Holotype length 82μm, width 57.5μm.
Notes: This kind of archeopyle is a bit like the precingular type, but larger and the outline is not obvious. According to the elongation of the cyst, archeopyle may be a combined type. So the new species ws not classified as precingular archeopyle Apteodinium.
Location and strtigraphy: Akto County Oytak, Zimgen Fm lower member; Ulugqat County Basebulak, Wulagen Fm
