Original description: Kunz, 1990, p.20
Proximochorate cyst with polygonal outline and gonyaulacoid areation formula: ?pr, 4", 0a, 6"", 6c, 6""", 1p, 1ps, 1"""". Archaeopyle 3"", operculum secate. Hypo- and epicyst of more or less equal size, devided by a strongly helicoid cingulum. Sulcus extremely long. Reduced 6. precingular area triangular. Five postcingular areas can be interpreted as 2""" to 6""". 1""" as a very thin area between the 2. postcingular area and the sulcus. Characteristic for this species are acanthate ridges, developed on the finis. Cyst surface psilate to chagrenate. Few c. 1 µm large tuberculae developed intraareate on the areae; cingulum and sulcus without luxuriate ornaments.
Dimensions: Holotype: length 52 µm, breadth 44 µm, finate ridges 5-8 µm. Further specimens: 6 - length 49-54 µm, breadth 44-49 µm, finate ridges 5-8 µm.

Affinities:
Kunz, 1990, p.20: Leptodinium amabile (Deflandre, 1939) Sarjeant, 1969 posesses of low and denticulate or smooth finate ridges, an intercalary are, a ovoidal to rounded outline and is smaller. For a species of Leptodinium, L. okerense has exremely strong ornamented and high finate ridges.
