Impagidinium velorum
Impagidinium velorum Bujak, 1984
Holotype: Bujak, 1984, pl. 2, fig. 13, Jan du Chene et al., 1986a, pl. 58, fig. 10
Paratypes: Bujak, 1984
Locus typicus: Aleutian Abyssal Plain, N North Pacific
Stratum typicum: Middle to Late Eocene-Late Pliocene
Original description: Bujak, 1984, p. 187-188.
Diagnosis: Central body ovoidal, pale, thin-walled, with smooth to chagrinate surface. Sutural crests membranous and high, with smooth distal margins; height of sutural crests approximating central body diameter. Tabulation difficult to determine due to flattening of sutural crests against central body. Cingulum marked by single high, membranous crest. Sulcus shallow and bordered by sutural crests. Archeopyle precingular, formed of single plate (?3"").
Dimensions: Central length 17 to 33 Ám, breadth 17 to 28 Ám; total length 53 to 66 Ám, breadth 47 to 58 Ám; maximum crest height 19 to 25 Ám; 15 specimens measured.
Affinities:
Bujak 1984, p. 188
Impagidinium velorum differs from Impagidinium pallidum in having a smaller central body and high sutural crests.
