Holotype: He Chengquan, 1984, pl.3, fig.12; textfig.4
Age: Tertiary

Original description: [He Chengquan, 1984b] (translated from Chinese with Google):

Pseudokomewuia (Pseudokomewuia) laevigata subsp. subtilis (subsp. nov.)
(Plate III, Figures 10-13; Illustration 4)

This subspecies has a small apical and caudal horn, of equal or slightly unequal size, measuring 1-3.5 microns long and 2-3 microns wide at the base. The endosome is inconspicuous, visible only at the corners. Determining the shell orientation is difficult unless excystation occurs (when a palaeostoma is present). The shell measures 40-58 microns long and 25-57 microns wide; the holotype is 58 microns long and 57 microns wide. Other characteristics are similar to those of the species. This subspecies is distinguished from other subspecies of this species by the considerably smaller and nearly equal apical and caudal horns.

Origin: Shangsi, Guangxi; the second section of the Yongning Group.
