Original description: [He Chengquan, 1984b] (translated from Chinese with Google):

Pseudokomewuia (Condocorpidia) shangsica (sp. nov.)
(Plate IV, Figures 14-20; Plate V, Figures 1-6; Illustration 9)

Description: The cyst is close to a cavity, with a taro-shaped, ovate, rhombic, or broadly rhombic outline. It has a single apex, is nearly cylindrical or conical, and has a blunt end. The surface of the apex is smooth, either sieve-like or granular, 2-7 microns long, 4-10 microns wide at the base, and 3.5-5 microns wide at the end. The endosome is present, closely attached to the outer layer, and clearly separated from the outer layer only below the apex. The shell wall is relatively thin; the surface is granular, generally still distinct, sometimes with strengthened granules near the apex, forming short wrinkles, or they may be connected to form short wrinkles in the middle of the shell. The girdle is absent, but the equatorial region may have one or two transverse folds. The palate is ancient, formed by the movement or cracking of the palate; the operculum is connected. A nucleus is present.

The shell is 47-63 μm long and 49-70 μm wide; the holotype is 57.5 μm long and 58 μm wide.

Discussion: This species is distinguished from other species of the subgenus by its granular surface. It is divided into two subspecies based on the size of the apex angle: subspecies supraspinata and subspecies brevispinata.

Origin: Shangsi, Guangxi, the first and second sections of the Yongning Group; the northern suburbs of Nanning, the lower coal-bearing section of the Yongning Group.
