Description by He Chengquan, 1991, translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019
Description: Cyst rhombus. Waist wide and round. Length and width equal, a central apical, antapical horn are more or less shown. Fall thickness 1μm formed by two layers, the inner and outer walls close to each other (except the slight separation at the base of the apical horn); Outer wall surface with significant grains and sparse spikes, the latter are solid, ends blunt. There are about 6 to 9 on the outline, 1-3 μm long. There are no cingulum, sulcus or paratabulation. The Archeopyle apical, (tA) type, formed by the movement of the top area. Operculum seems to be not separated from the cyst completely and usually preserved in-situ.
The cyst length is 63-75μm, width 60-75μm (measured 2); Holotype length 63μm, width 60μm.
Discussion: Although the new species with spikes, but the spikes are short and sparse, so it is still possible to classify it as Pseudokomewuia. It has sparsely spiked surfaces that are different from those known in the genus.
