Sicyoidium opimum (sp. nov.)
(Plate X, Figures 15-18)
Description: Pear-shaped or gourd-shaped in outline. The apex is convex and obese, formed by contraction of one end of the shell, with a rounded distal end. The shell is 13-22 microns long and 10-17.5 microns wide. The shell wall is 0.8-1.2 microns thick, with two or unclear layers; the surface is smooth to slightly rough. The body is often wrinkled. No circular opening (or archaeotomy) is observed.
The shell is 55-67.5 microns long and 27.5-50 microns wide; the holotype is 60 microns long and 50 microns wide.
Origin: Shangsi, Guangxi, the second section of the Yongning Group; the northern suburbs of Nanning, the lower coal-bearing section of the Yongning Group.
