Original description (Below, 1982)
Diagnosis: A subspecies of Spiniferites multibrevis (Davey and Williams, 1966) stat. nov. with particularly weak furcate processes, which are very short at 1/4 to 1/6 of the central body diameter. The gonal appendages, no longer than the parasutural processes, ending simple or bifid to slightly bi- or trifurcate. Of these, two or three stand on a paraplate boundary. They have broad bases that unite to form the septum. Sie erjüngen sich distalwärts zunächst rasch, dann kontinuierlich und enden stumpf bifid oder bifurcat.
Dimensions
Holotype: length of central body 51 µm, width of central body 55 µm, length of processes 5-7 µm;
other specimens: length of central body 48-55 µm, width of central body 45-52 µm, length of processes 4-8 µm.
