Spiniferites tianshanensis He Chengquan, 1991, p.154–155, pl.23, fig.5.
Holotype: He Chengquan, 1991, pl.23, fig.5.
Age: Paleocene.

Description from He Chengquan, 1991, translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019
Description: the body oval, wall thickness about 1μm, two layers, smooth inner wall, the surface of the outer wall was obviously granular, part of the particles are connected into short wrinkles. There is a long process near the top, flat, solid, with a few window holes, tapering distally, end blunt, there are tiny branches on the process with various lengths, the ends of the branches may be bifurcated. There is also a particularly large process at the antapex, flat and solid, the base width is about 12μm, it bifurcates intensively at 4-5μm from the base Branches strongly curved backward, there are 1-2 times bifurcations distally. Other processes are shorter, the ones at gonal positions are shorter, conical, hollow, triangular cross-member, distally trifurcated, branch ends simple or bifurcated; There are very few processes on the suture, rod-shaped, curved, end bifurcated. The gonal processes’ bases are connected by low coronal ridges; The plates and cingulum outline defined by the coronal ridges is clear. The archeopyle outline arches, precingular, formed by the movement of the third precingular plate. Operculum preserved in situ. Overall length 105μm, width 70μm, body length 57μm, width 47μm, the tapical process length 25μm, antapical process length 15μm, the central width 7.5μm, other processes length 10-1 5μm.
Comparison: This species differs from Spiniferites cornutus in a particularly broad antapical process.
Location and stratigraphy: Wuqia County Basebulak Qimugen fm lower part of the lower member.
