Age: Paleocene

Description from He Chengquan, 1991, translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019
Description: cyst round rhombus- oval, length and width are nearly equal. Upper and lower cyst nearly equal, with a central apical antapical horn (convex); Apical horn papillary, the size about 4μm × 7μm, which has several short rod processes, 1-3μm long; Antapical horn is narrow, top conical, length 7μm, the base width about 5μm, which several tiny spikes visible on it, about 1μm long. Wall thickness about 2μm, surface with dense granulates - short wrinkled ornamentation and sparse non-septa processes; Processes rod-like, solid, lengths various, in general 1-5μm, ends simple. Cingulum at equatorial position, marked by weak line of decorations. The archeopyle developed, precingular, P type, formed by the movement of the third precingular plate, edge gonal. Operculum preserved in situ. Cyst length (excluding horns and processes) 72.5μm, width 72μm.
Discussion: Although there may be an antapical horn of the genus characters, there is no reports of species with an antapical horn, so the current new species differs from the known species of this genus by having a small antapical horn.
Location and stratigraphy: Wuqia County Basebulak; Qimugen fm, lower member.
