Original description, Below, 1982: Translation PKB 2024

Cassiculosphaeridia sarstedtensis n. sp. (Abb. 1, 2; Abb. 41, Nr. 117)
Derivatio nominis : After the place where the species was found, the town of Sarstedt, near Hanover.
HoIotypus : Praparat II-7014: 26,9/ 102,7 (Abb. 1).
Stratum typicum : nutfieldiensis-Zone, Oper-Apt.
Locus typicus : Tongrube ,,Otto Gott" in Sarstedt.
Diagnosis: Spheroidal, two-layered, acavate cyst. Apical archaeopyle with "simple", "free" operculum, type A. Thick-walled endophragm and periphragm folded into coarse, large, irregularly undulating rugulae, closely spaced. Signs of paratabulation, paracingulum or parasulcus are absent.
Dimensions of the holotype: width 48 μ, length (without apical calotte) 42 ft.
Remark: This species differs from the other taxa of the genus Cassiculosphaeridia due to the rugulae. It is apparently derived from Cassiculosphaeridia tazadensis BELOW 1981 by drastic reduction of the muri of the irregularly undulating reticulum.
Occurrence: In only one sample each from the nutfieldiensis and nolani-jacobi zones.
