NOW Impletosphaeridium. Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently Polysphaeridium, thirdly Hystrichosphaeridium?, fourthly Dapsilidinium, fifthly (and now) Impletosphaeridium.

Locus typicus: SW of Broome, Carnavron Basin, Australia
Stratum typicum: Oxfordian-Tithonian
Original description: Cookson and Eisenack, 1960, p.251: Hystrichosphaeridium pachydermum
Shell sphaerical, thick-walled (c.3-6µ) with closely to sparsely arranged short, solid processes of varying shape some being simple with ¦ capitate ends others flattened and equally or unequally bifurcate.
Dimensions: holotype - diameter 105µm, diameter of shell 95µm. Range - diameter 74-138µm, diameter of shell 70-100µm. processes 4-10µm long.
