Now Cymatiogalea. Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently Baltisphaeridium, thirdly Priscogalea, fourthly (and now) Cymatiogalea.
Tax. sr. synonym of the acritarch species Cymatiogalea polygonomorpha Gorka, 1967, according to Rasul, 1974.
