Original description (Jansonius, 1989):

F. nicosia Jansonius, n. sp.: 30-80 x60-180 μm; wall 0.5-1 μm, shagreen, generally with prominent longitudinal fold (along sulcal region?) and medial constriction (in cingular region); ornamentation of scattered to sparse flexuous filaments, 5(10)20 μm long, 0.5-1 μm thick. Santonian
