Cyst spherical to subspherical, skolochorate and biphragmal; both phragma chagrinate; intratabular processes broad to very broad, cylindrical, proximally little wider and generally connected to one another sometimes with high rising membranes; processes distally open, wider, entire or minutely indented; one process per paraplate giving paratabulation of ?4", 5-6", 0c, 6-7""", 1"""", the pre- and postcingular processes together generally 12; archeopyle apical type (tA).

Dimensions:
Holotype: cyst diameter 19 µm, length of processes 9-10 µm, breadth of processes 4-11 µm.
Range: cyst diameter 19(17)16 µm, length of processes 5-10 µm, breadth of processes 3-11 µm.
Specimens measured: 5.

Affinities:
Islam, 1983, p. 342: This species differs from P. inversibuccinum in possessing broad cylindrical processes.
