Baltisphaeridium castaneum, (Eisenack, 1934 ex Eisenack, 1938), Downie and Sarjeant, 1965

Originally Hystrichosphaeridium castaneum, subsequently (and now) Baltisphaeridium castaneum; see also Ovum hispidum ssp. castaneum (name not validly published). This combination was not validly published in Downie and Sarjeant, 1963 since these authors did not fully reference the basionym.
