Tax. jr. synonym of Xanthidium (now Spiniferites) ramosum Ehrenberg, 1838, according to Sarjeant, 1983.
This combination was not validly published in Downie and Sarjeant, 1963 since these authors did not fully reference the basionym.
Age: Middle Oligocene-middle Miocene
