Baltisphaeridium eisenackianum var. crozonense
Baltisphaeridium eisenackianum var. crozonense, (Deunff, 1959), Downie and Sarjeant, 1965
Originally Hystrichosphaeridium eisenackianum var. crozonense, subsequently (and now) Baltisphaeridium eisenackianum var. crozonense. Downie and Sarjeant, 1965 used the combination Baltisphaeridium eisenackianum var. crozonense and gave a full reference to the basionym, although they did not indicate that this variety was originally in Hystrichosphaeridium. Since these authors gave this information for Baltisphaeridium eisenackianum, Fensome et al., 1990 accepted the combination Baltisphaeridium eisenackianum var. crozonense as validly published in Downie and Sarjeant, 1965. This combination was not validly published in Downie and Sarjeant, 1963 since these authors did not fully reference the basionym.
