Baltisphaeridium granulosum, (Deflandre, 1937), Sarjeant, 1962

Now Prolixosphaeridium granulosum. Originally Hystrichosphaeridium xanthiopyxides var. granulosum, subsequently Baltisphaeridium granulosum thirdly (and now) Prolixosphaeridium granulosum; see also Baltisphaeridium xanthiopyxides var. granulosum (an acritarch varietas; combination not validly published).
Tax. sr. synonym of Tenua pilosa ssp. longispinosa (Sarjeant, 1961) Lentin and Williams, 1973, according to Sarjeant, 1976.
Tax. sr. synonym, by implication, of Prolixosphaeridium anasillum Erkmen and Sarjeant, 1980, which species is a tax. jr. synonym of Tenua pilosa ssp. Iongispinosa, according to Erkmen and Sarjeant, 1980. This taxon was raised to specific rank by Sarjeant, 1962 as Baltisphaeridium granulosum.
