Now Ammonidium (an acritarch genus). Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently Baltisphaeridium, thirdly (and now) Ammonidium (an acritarch genus); see also Veryhachium (an acritarch genus; combination not validly published). According to Martin, 1981 the specimens listed under this name by Stockmans and Williere, 1962 are not assignable to this species; however, this does not affect the validity of the transfer by Stockmans and Williere, 1962.
