Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently Baltisphaeridium.
Tax. jr. synonym of Hystrichosphaeridium (now Achomosphaera) ramuliferum Deflandre, 1937, according to Sarjeant, 1983. This combination was not validly published in Downie and Sarjeant, 1963 since these authors did not fully reference the basionym.

Age: Middle Miocene
